The Scent of Success for Vehicle Service Shops
Savvy vehicle service shops seeking the "scent of success" are now
separating themselves from competitors using liquid air freshener
with a new type of scented wafer, the Wonder Wafer by Texas-based
Wonder Wafers International, which ensures foolproof fragrance
distribution with consistent release from several days up to two
weeks, for as little as five cents per wafer, when placed under a
vehicle's seat.
Because each roughly 2-inch square scented wafer is non-liquid, it's
freeze-proof and can be used anywhere, in virtually any climate,
year-round. Patented for concept, design, formula, and
under-the-seat application after years of development for the car
wash industry, each wafer delivers a continually perfect dose of
fragrance, unlike liquid air freshener which is initially
overpowering but quickly fades.
The Wonder Wafer eliminates the need for messy, staff preparation
and re-application of liquid air freshener. Since there's no more
liquid, there's no more spills or waste, no more leaky spray
bottles, no more over or under-spray, and no more expensive
applicator machines to buy and maintain. This eliminates any
staining or damage to carpet, console, dashboard, upholstery, or
belongings caused by liquid air freshener, while eliminating the
need to guess if fragrance was sprayed/applied properly.
Wonder Wafers are a welcome cash center in their own right with up
to a 500 percent profit margin.
To customize the fragrance for customers, 18 long-lasting fragrances
are available. Each Wonder Wafer can quickly be removed from under
the seat, and replaced with another choice if a fragrance isn't
optimal.

AMSOIL Brings Convenience of Revamped Oil Analysis Program to
Wider Market
AMSOIL has announced that Oil Analyzers Inc (OAI) has been expanded
and is now available with three state-of-the-art facilities across
the U.S. Testing includes, but is not limited to, dirt, wear
particles, fuel dilution and coolant.
Oil analysis allows motorists to test a sample of their engine oil
and virtually see inside the vehicle’s engine, finding potentially
critical issues before they become severe. Oil analysis also enables
motorists and fleet managers to obtain optimum equipment life by
preventing premature equipment failure.
According to Ed Kellerman, manager of Oil Analyzers, Inc., “One of
the major applications for oil analysis has been to determine
serviceability of motor oils for extended service life. Truck fleets
and owner operators have historically used oil analysis to reduce
the amount of equipment downtime and to insure that their engine oil
is still good to go.”
OAI utilizes oil analysis labs in Salt Lake City, Utah; Houston,
Texas; and Indianapolis, Indiana, to enable faster turnaround times.
All facilities are available by ground within 48 hours from anywhere
in the continental US. The labs are committed to completing reports
quickly with 98% of reports available online within 24 hours
utilizing HORIZON online reporting software.
In addition, OAI has expanded its services to include a full
complement of oil, diesel fuel and coolant testing. It also offers
many additional fluid analysis options including industrial
applications. When the testing is complete, it is compiled into a
user friendly, easy-to-understand report with detailed information
on the condition of the engine.
OAI sample kits are available individually or per case of 50 or 100.
Consumers have the option of purchasing the kits with return postage
paid, or they can choose to pay when they return the kit for
testing.

In 2008, Hannay Reels celebrates its diamond jubilee anniversary,
marking 75 years of reel pride for the company. Since 1933, the
Hannay family has owned and operated the world’s leading
manufacturing facility of hose and cable reels. The formula for over
even decades of success has included continual facility expansion,
along with constant product developments in order to meet market

From founder Clifford Hannay’s first manual-crank reel, the company

Hannay production team generated about 3,600 reels a year from a new
manufacturing facility in 1952. Today, over 70,000 reels are shipped

square feet to accommodate larger fabrication, assembly and shipping
departments. Hannay has become the reel leader in countless markets,
including audio and video, aircraft and boat refueling, offshore
unloading of crude oil, lawn care services, fleet operations, fire
and rescue vehicles, pumper-cleaner apparatus and food processing.
Hannay reels have always been constructed using the highest quality
materials and manufacturing techniques to ensure their performance
and reliability. Modern production efficiencies combined with
traditional craftsmanship mean every reel can be built to exact
specifications. If a customer requires a specialty reel, Hannay has
